Since our early beginnings, our vision of what Employment Services should be has guided how we deliver services, how we treat our clients and how we contribute to the community. As the largest Employment Services provider in South Australia and one of the 10 largest nationally, Workskil employs a team of over 350 professionals including specialists in human services, counselling and recruitment, delivering a broad range of services from 30 offices across SA, Melbourne and Geelong.

Workskil is more than just a not-for-profit employment service provider. Our aim is to make a difference in the lives of individuals and in doing so strengthen our community. It is our ongoing mission to make a difference and assist individuals in realising their full potential so they can make a difference in their own lives.

Some examples of how Workskil makes a difference in people’s lives include:

  • Workskil helps young people aged between 13 and 20 achieve through a range of education, pre-employment and personal support services. Workskil delivers a range of programmes aimed at bridging the gap between crisis and employment assistance services for disadvantaged young people. Workskil aims to assist disengaged and at risk youths to return to compulsory education.
  • The Family Centred Employment Project (FCEP) is a Department of Education, Employment & Workplace Relations (DEEWR) funded demonstration project aimed at assisting jobless families residing in the Broadmeadows area in Victoria.
  • Workskil is a provider of Disability Employment Services in the Eastern Adelaide region. We support people who have a disability, injury or health condition and are experiencing difficulties gaining or keeping employment, achieve positive and sustainable outcomes.
  • Workskil establishing a social enterprise, Foodskil, to address food security through growing, retail and wholesale of Fruit and Vegetables in the northern suburbs of Geelong.

Our specialities include:

  • Assisting job seekers to overcome their barriers to employment.
  • Support in managing disability and other medical or health challenges.
  • Provision of a variety of job search activities that cater to the unique abilities and learning pace of each job seeker.
  • Creating goal orientated and tailored Employment Pathway Plans.
  • Referral to training and skills development in local areas.
  • Facilitating access to work opportunities with techniques and skills for effective job searching, including resume and application letter preparation.
  • Refer, coordinate and advocate with other services within the community on behalf of job seekers.
  • Help in accessing work experience opportunities.
