Within the ethos of the Uniting Church in Australia, Wesley Mission Melbourne supports people who are disadvantaged to live meaningful lives by delivering effective services and working to create social systems that value and liberate.
Our vision is for a community where all are valued and included. We believe in the possibility of personal and social transformation and work to empower those who are disadvantaged to participate fully in community life.
Today the Mission employs 766 staff and 2,100 volunteers to deliver
47 services across metropolitan Melbourne.
Our services include:
Arthur Preston Residential Services
Residential and support services for people with Huntington's Disease and for people with spinal cord injuries and other neurological disorders.
Lifeline Melbourne
24-hour telephone counselling, information and referral service.
Wesley Aged Care Services
Residential services helping older people live full, independent lives.
Wesley Disability Community Services
Planning, educational, training, recreation, leisure and respite programs for people with disabilities.
Wesley Disability Support Services
Community residential units providing supported long term and respite accommodation to adults with intellectual and physical disabilities.
Wesley Employment Services
Placing people with disabilities and long term disadvantage into jobs within the community.
Wesley Homelessness and Support Services
Assistance for children, young people, single adults, couples and families who are experiencing homelessness and domestic violence.
Wesley Social Support Services
Linking socially isolated young people, older people and people with disabilities into the community through a range of social and recreation programs.
Wesley Youth Services
Accommodation and support programs for young people at risk.
