Who is SSGT?
SSGT is a well established Group Training Organisation (GTO) located in metropolitan Melbourne . SSGT have been employing apprentices/trainees since 1987 and is an original member of the Group Training Australia National Network of independent not for profit community based companies.
Group Training Organisations are the largest employer of apprentices and trainees in Australia , providing employment for in excess of 8,500 apprentices and trainees in Victoria alone.
The SSGT daily service delivery is delivered by a group of professional effective friendly staff, overseen by an experienced General Manager and governed by a Board of Directors that is made up of voluntary community focused individuals from business and industry backgrounds.
SSGT is a nationally recognised Quality GTO meeting the national standards associated with the delivery of high level customer service and ethical good business practices. SSGT has a proud history of providing quality employer services and creating career pathway opportunities through employment and training in the community.
The SSGT recruitment and employment services are tried and tested whilst regularly revisited to review and improve our ability to attract and secure the best possible job candidates and host employer placements for our clients.
Australian Apprentices employed by SSGT can gain experience in a variety of workplaces throughout the training period or have one placement for the entire duration of the qualification. The GTO employment model has been tested and statistically proven to increase the likelihood of successfully completing an Australian Apprenticeship.

An Australian Apprenticeship (apprenticeship or traineeship) can be undertaken on a full time or part time basis and can be used as a valuable stepping stone to start a career in an industry you want to work in.
If you are employed as an apprentice or trainee, you will combine work for your employer with structured, off-the-job training organised through a TAFE or Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and receive a nationally recognised qualification.
