Southern States is a professional, dynamic and invigorating company dedicated to
providing premium products and premium services for the Transport Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, and Tail Lift Industry.
Southern States inception was the 6 th of September 1993. The legal status of Southern States is a Partnership. The company is owned and operated by two privately owned Family Trusts - The Partington and Taylor Family Trusts.
During the past 15 years Southern States has grown to be the leading & innovative Thermo King and Anteo Dealer in Australia.
Our commitment and dedication to both our Customers and also Thermo King has meant the need for further expansion to our 4 th facility. On the 9 th of July 2007 Southern States moved from the Nations best service facility in Sunshine to an all new, radically larger –purpose built facility that has benchmarked service facilities in Australia and the Southern hemisphere. The new facility features 10 service bays for Truck and Trailer Refrigeration, 4 Bays for Transit Air Conditioning and another 4 for Anteo Tail Lifts.
There is over 2 acres of parking, 20m x wash bay and air conditioned drivers lounge with TV and shower, private courtyard and modern café for our valued customers. The workshop and administration facilities have been designed to with one purpose; to create an environment of safety, growth and pride for our employees.
Traditionally Southern States main growth was sourced through Truck and Trailer Refrigeration; however 5 years ago we recognized the need for a separate Bus & Coach Air Conditioning Service operation and introduced the Southern States Transit Department. We were also approached by the Italian company Anteo for sales and support of their product in Australia . Today Southern States has grown the Transit and Anteo Departments to be one of the dominant and trusted sales and service providers in Australia.
In 1997 we were awarded International Dealer of the Year and 10 years later in 2007, International Rail Dealer of the Year Award after only 2 years as the National Dealer for Australia for Rail Products. By the end of 2008 we should have successfully contracted over 1,000+ HVAC systems in Victoria.
Today Southern States employs over 60 staff…and growing every week. We currently operate 30 company vehicles between all departments purely to service our customers. Our technicians are trained by Thermo King Corporate and certified accordingly whilst our Anteo department is trained overseas.
We pride ourselves on superior levels of advice and technical services to our customers and aggressively pursue further opportunities in our industry.
