We are a leader in a unique and thriving industry providing significant contributions to the Western Australian community. Racing has been part of Western Australia since the 1850’s and the TAB network, first established in 1961, has grown from its humble beginnings to now providing 280 off course betting outlets throughout WA.
We have evolved into a business savvy, commercial organisation generating a turnover of $1.5 billion annually, with a work force of over 500 disciplines. Our organisation spans across various sections including Stewards, Finance, IT and Marketing and we have our very own call centre! This expansion has allowed us to offer employees a range of diverse and satisfying career opportunities within a complex, rewarding business. Our success can be attributed to retaining & attracting highly skilled employees – how do we do this? Odds are high that you will enjoy our culture Our culture values a work environment that offers personal challenge, reward and empowerment and this has been achieved through creating innovative workplace initiatives such as opportunities to be involved in international training programs to understand global trends and apply industry best practices. The key to our environment is found in our core values, which supports our emphasis on team work, professionalism and customer focus and is one of the main reasons why we have a large number of staff who have worked for us passionately over 10, 15 and even 30 years and beyond. The winnings We offer all the standard benefits that most organisations present like competitive salaries, paid parental leave, free parking, annual leave loading to name a few but we have implemented other benefits to assist employees in a tough economic market. We have generous personal & long service provisions which allow long service to be taken after 7 years of continuous service (not 10 years which is the standard). We also offer employees a banking discount package to alleviate increasing interest rates and employees have access to a competitive salary packaging option to maximise tax savings. Not only are we committed to providing employees with a professional and engaging workplace but we also continue to be pro-active in reviewing and offering benefits that will be of value to all staff, both financially and personally. Win the race for an unique career We continue to offer industry leading opportunities across our divisions, both for existing and new employees, who are seeking that next step or looking for that new challenge. Within our IT department we are currently working on a 3 year project with an overall spend rivalling some of the mining companies’ projects in Perth. We are considered the market leader throughout the rest of Australia in our management of the racing industry standards, attracting highly skilled stewards from interstate and overseas. These positions are just a few examples of the progressive and diverse nature of our business. Your prospects of forging a rewarding and long term career with us are waiting to be explored.
