Queensland University of Technology

One of Australia's largest universities, QUT provides courses which are highly relevant to employment, and applies its expertise to solving real problems in industry and the community. It is the largest provider of bachelor graduates into full-time jobs in the nation.

With more than 30 000 students (20 per cent at postgraduate level), 3 000 staff and an annual budget of $300 million, QUT has four Brisbane campuses located at Gardens Point and Kelvin Grove, both on the edge of the CBD, and at Carseldine and Caboolture in the northern suburbs.

Academic programs are offered in most professional fields, from bachelor to doctorate level, through QUT's eight faculties: Built Environment and Engineering, Business, Creative Industries, Education, Health, Information Technology, Law and Science. Courses are strongly influenced by employers and professional bodies, and provide a useful blend of theory and practical skills. The job relevance of its courses won QUT the inaugural Good Universities Guide Australian University of the Year award.
