Philip Morris Limited (PML) is an affiliate of Philip Morris International (PMI) which is the leading international tobacco company, with seven of the world’s top 15 brands, including the number one cigarette brand worldwide. PMI has more than 77,000 employees and its products are sold in approximately 160 countries. In 2009, the company held an estimated 15.4% share of the total international cigarette market outside of the United States, or 26.0% excluding the People’s Republic of China and the US.

Philip Morris Limited's head office and manufacturing facility are located at Moorabbin, Victoria, with Sales and Distribution offices across Australia and New Zealand . In addition, Philip Morris Limited manufactures tobacco products for markets in New Zealand and the South Pacific.

Philip Morris began operations in Australia in 1954, and Philip Morris Limited is now the second largest manufacturer and distributor of cigarettes in Australia.
