Octopus Staffing and Recruitment first opened its doors in 1994 when the company was known as United Recruitment; our first division was Hospitality. Today we are Australia’s pre-eminent hospitality agency, with the resources to expertly provide permanent, temporary, casual or emergency staff for all hospitality orientated positions, including kitchen hands, F&B attendants, Chefs, Executive and Management positions.

The hospitality industry is an exciting and often glamorous business. Our clients range from private function providers to the big sporting and entertainment organisers; from small hotels and restaurants to specialist government facilities.

We also specialise in catering for the exact requirements of the Healthcare industry specifically hospitals and aged care facilities.

Healthcare

The Octopus Healthcare division is Victoria’s number one agency for the recruitment and placement of nurses and allied health professionals in permanent, temporary and casual positions. As Octopus expands beyond Victoria we aim to be an important force across Australia.

Our personalised approach to our staff sets us apart from the competition. We understand the importance of the personal touch. All our Allocations Consultants are experienced in the healthcare field so we understand your specific requirements.

Logistics, Supply Chain and Engineering

Geoff Southby heads up this exciting and challenging area. Geoff’s key to the Octopus difference in the Logistics, Supply Chain and Engineering field is his singular corporate focus of getting the best people for our clients.

Industrial Labour hire

Our Octopus Industrial division motto is “quality”. We are continually looking for quality staff to assist our clients with their business needs in a variety of permanent and temporary positions.
