Building a better team

The Director of a Care and Education Centre is accountable for the care, control and day to day management of the service and the centre’s budget.  As the approved Authorised supervisor, the Director is responsible for ensuring that the Centre complies with the requirements of Council, funding bodies and Statutory Departments.

The work will primarily require meeting time schedules, be responsible for the care of children, supervision of staff, liaison with Council, parents, committee, professional agencies and other government departments.

The centre will cater for up to 60 children, aged between 0 and 6 years in a long day care environment.  The Centre has a budget of approximately $600,000 and approximately 14 qualified and unqualified primary contact staff and ancillary staff.
