The Role and Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the implementation, review and ongoing maintenance, of the workplace safety and risk management systems.
The Person
Due to continued growth the company wishes to employ an Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) person to their factory team, who is flexible in the workplace and is prepared to role up their sleeves, pitch in and help around the factory.
This position may suit an experienced tradesperson who is looking to move away from the tools.
The successful applicant will:
- Be accredited and/or tertiary qualified in OH&S
- Have a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar environment
- Have a current First Aid Certificate
- Be organised,
- Have highly developed written and verbal communication skills
- Be highly computer literate
- Be an outgoing and enthusiastic person,
- Be able to demonstrate initiative
- Be flexible enough to lend a hand in the factory when required
You must have had a similar role within a small to medium enterprise and be fully conversant in all relevant WPH&S legislation. Return to work qualifications and experience will be highly regarded, but is not essential.
The ability to interact confidently with colleagues will be highly regarded as will a mature attitude, the ability to work autonomously and a strong work ethic.
