Hays Construction & Property is currently seeking an experienced Environmental Health Officer for a contract role with a local council in Sydney.

Working in Council's Environmental Health team you will be responsible for formulating, implementing, interpreting and judging various public and environmental health functions and specialist programs, as well as providing a high level of public and environmental health to the community. The development of programs, along with advising and educating the public make this a challenging role, which will bring immense professional satisfaction.

You have the relevant qualifications and previous experience as an EHO in local government. Your knowledge of the EP&A Act, the Food Act and the Local Government Act along with relevant policies, procedures and practices, will allow you to effectively carry out the duties required for this role. You have also developed your time-management, negotiation and communication skills, and are able to provide advice to other professional staff. Although the ideal candidate will have around 5 years post graduate experience recent graduates are also encouraged to apply.
