This company manufactures and markets a wide range of Specialized Products, including environmentally beneficial products, throughout Australasia and the major Asian markets and boasts many of the leading brands in its field. Reporting to the Operations Manager, they now require a Warehouse & Distribution Centre Manager to manage this busy DC and lead your team to the next level of customer service. With 8 direct reports, the team comprises of 200 staff including inventory controller and despatch coordinator across 2 shifts. This sector of the business will experience enormous growth during ????? ????? few years and offers an excellent opportunity for you to really make your mark.
The role is responsible for the day to day management of the warehouse and transport functions and encompasses:
- Management of Industrial Relations
- Management of full Resource and labour budget
- SH&E, Chain of Responsibility and Fatigue management
- Continuous process improvement
- Ensuring ????? ????? levels and other KPI's are achieved
- Achieving optimal inventory control levels
- Meeting Truck Turnaround Time targets
- Management of third party transport providers
Applications are invited from candidates with the following skills and experience:
- Minimum 10 years’ hands on experience in Warehousing & Distribution management in a manufacturing ????? ?????
- High volume, High value & High Security.
- Experience of managing teams in a unionised environment
- Coaching, training and presentation skills
- Strong numerical skills
- Knowledge of Warehousing and distribution best practice
- SAP experience, or similar
- An aptitude for working with figures.
- Motor vehicle and Licence
- Forklift licences LF & LO holders would be highly regarded
- Proven experience of leading teams to more productive performance
This is a hands on role suited to someone with high levels of personal drive and energy and a can-do attitude. The role is based in Sydney Metro and a package of over $150k, is envisaged. There are great opportunities for career development.
