Senior HR Advisor

 



An exciting role for an experienced HR Generalist exists with one of the world’s largest manufacturers and distributors of steel. With responsibility for providing effective HR solutions and strategy to the NSW region, you will have a track record of strategic and hands-on HR experience. Your client base will be approximately 300 staff over 15 sites in the NSW region and your client base will predominantly be made up of Branch Managers and Sales Managers, and their direct reports.

 

Some major challenges in the role will include; increasing the presence of HR in the business, identifying where you can have the biggest impact without the everyday needs of the business suffering; ongoing development and coaching of the management team; ongoing development of the sales leadership capability; engaging in group-wide business HR initiatives where appropriate and tailoring ????? ????? necessary. You will need to combine a hands-on and strategic approach in your work.

 

Suitable applicants must have at least five years’ generalist HR experience, including 1-2 years on a management team, and you will be able to demonstrate examples of influencing key stakeholders and business outcomes. You will be educated to degree level or above (ideally in HR/IR), with strong negotiation and communication skills. Being such a large company, career progression is very much a reality here.
