The Personal Helpers and Mentors (PHAMS) Program provides practical support to people experiencing mental illness who live in the community. The program requires motivated staff to facilitate an expansion. There are two full time roles to be filled based in the Hawkesbury area. The PHAMS Program is a service of Uniting Care Mental Health; an expanding NGO providing community based mental health and counselling services across Western Sydney, Northern Sydney and the Central Coast. The role requires people interested in working with people experiencing mental illness, working under a recovery model. UCMH has a fantastic work culture and provides many opportunities for professional development.
Uniting Care Mental Health is seeking applicants with Certificate 1V in Community Services or similar.
Experience with working with clients with a mental illness is desirable. People with a lived experience of mental illness are encouraged to apply
Applicants should hold a current drivers license and be computer literate in Windows Office programs.
Being agencies of the Uniting Church in Australia, applicants should have a genuine commitment to community service and a willingness to work within the Uniting Church values.
