Environmental Project Officer

A NSW Council seeks a temporary Environmental Project Officer to act in a temporary role for 2-3 months. You will provide project support to the Sustainability and Waste division by assisting with project development. You will also take a lead on the education of school children on environmental topics.  

The ideal candidate will have the following skills:
  • Demonstrated experience in Environmental, Sustainability or Conservation project work ideal within local councils.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the education sector.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in project planning and management.
  • Strong networking, liaison and negotiation skills, with a proven ability to negotiate successfully at different levels of government, industry and the community.
  • Analytical skills with the demonstrated ability to develop solutions to problems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A degree within Environmental Science or related area.
