A NSW Council seeks a temporary Environmental Project Officer to act in a temporary role for 2-3 months. You will provide project support to the Sustainability and Waste division by assisting with project development. You will also take a lead on the education of school children on environmental topics.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills: - Demonstrated experience in Environmental, Sustainability or Conservation project work ideal within local councils.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the education sector.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in project planning and management.
- Strong networking, liaison and negotiation skills, with a proven ability to negotiate successfully at different levels of government, industry and the community.
- Analytical skills with the demonstrated ability to develop solutions to problems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A degree within Environmental Science or related area.
