Gellibrand Support Services is a disability organisation with a difference. We are based predominantly in the Western Suburbs of Melbourne, with 7 Community Residential Units in Suburbs ranging from Williamstown to Caroline Springs. We also provide in home support throughout the region. As a manager at Gellibrand, you will be working in a team of 10 other managers, who believe that every person has a right to a quality of life and life experiences available in the general community. The management team you are part of is not hierarchical, rather, you report directly to the CEO. You do significantly interact with your peers, sharing ????? ????? ideas, and helping run the organisation is part of what you do. You will be managing a team of staff who are working to give as much control as possible to the people they support, even if that makes our lives a tad more difficult sometimes!!! You will be responsible for the care and support of adults with disabilities within a residential setting. You are responsible for the support, training, discipline and motivation of your team. Your skills in managing the site you are responsible for, and the energy and passion you bring ????? ????? role, will be evident by the outcomes achieved by those you support.
As a manager at Gellibrand, you have a positive attitude, an ability to communicate well, a sense of humour coupled with a strong work ethic.
You won’t need to have both
1) Disability experience/qualifications, and
2) Management experience,
but you must have one or the other.
This role demands commitment, self motivation, self management, team management, good administrative capability, and computer literacy. A personal passion for quality outcomes for the people you would support, both Clients and Team Members is essential.
Requirements:
· Work within the western region of Melbourne
· To work autonomously and as part of a team
· Ability & willingness to do direct disability support work with Clients
· Ability to do 1 sleepover per week plus two additional evenings per week
· Ability to work 2 Saturdays per 4 week period & ability to be on-call
· Drivers license
