Retail/Trade Sales Assistant

RETAIL/TRADE SALES ASSISTANT -

BALLARAT

Haymes Paint is an Australian owned manufacturer of premium brand

An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated, talented retail assistant

with a “hands on” approach to become a member of the Haymes Team.

This position offers on the job training and the opportunity to learn

about the Haymes product range and to develop and improve your

strength in retail sales. The role is offered on a part time basis working

24-32 hrs on a rotating six-day roster. Experience in paint retailing

and/or hardware or like industry will be highly regarded.

Duties involve:

• Greeting retail customers and assisting with product selection

• Advising customers in store and by phone on Haymes products and

accessories

• Timely and accurate preparation of paint orders for trade & retail

customers

• Building strong relationships with trade customers in store

• Replenishment of stock

• Making local deliveries to trade customers

• Supporting the Haymes sales team in a busy trade and retail business

• Assisting with in-store displays and store presentation

The successful applicant will have:

• A genuine desire to deliver a high level of customer service

• Intermediate computer skills (an advantage not essential)

• Well developed communication skills

• Cash handling skills

• Accuracy and attention to detail

• Strong work ethic

• The ability to work and contribute effectively within a team

• Retail sales experience in a dynamic environment

• Successful completion of Year 11 or relevant experience

• Current Victorian Drivers Licence

• Willingness to embrace the Haymes Values
