There is an urgent need for a Wellington based Senior Bridge Design Engineer who is seeking an opportunity to work with one of New Zealand leading multi-disciplinary consulting firms.
Within this role you will be involved in:
- Preparation of expressions of interest and project proposal,
- Assisting clients in the preparation of design briefs for projects including preliminary programming and estimates,
- The preparation of fee estimates and the negotiation of fees for services with clients, ensuring ????? ????? operate on a profitable basis,
- Carrying out design, investigation and documentation in accordance with the project brief,
- Project reporting and job progress reporting.
The successful candidate for this position will be:
- A chartered professional engineer,
- Have at least 10 years experience predominantly in the design of major bridges including continuous pre-stressed concrete structures is desired,
- Knowledge of earthquake engineering ????? ????? & implementation ideally with NZ seismic design codes,
- Experience with local standards, design codes, legislation and practices,
- Have an ability to work independently as well as leading and mentoring ????? ?????,
- Hold the ability to manage projects efficiently,
- Alliance/Design & Construct experience is preferred
