Optical Systems Design is an export oriented manufacturer of fibre optic transmission systems targeting the transportation, security and broadcast markets.
We require an Electronics Engineer to join the Engineering Group to contribute to the development, prototyping and release to Manufacturing of communications products ranging from video compression codecs and servers to 10G Ethernet products.
You will need to be a degree qualified engineer with three to five years experience in an electronic design environment and have skills in at least 3 of the following areas:
- fibre optic oriented electronic design
- FPGA and/or CPLD design and verification
- video/audio compression standards, algorithims and implementation
- IP networks
- PDH/SDH systems
You are a person who can plan and control your work with minimal supervision with a resourceful professional approach and have strong verbal and written communications skills.
