Manager - Weekend Markets

    This must be able to suit your lifestyle needs as it is involves weekend work!
     
    Our client is the largest and  longest established Growers Market situated in the Northern Suburbs; Ideally you should have a background in commercial property, function, or event management.
     
     
    We need a well organised person to commit to a vibrant & rewarding role. We are seeking someone who can lookout for new ideas & opportunities and has excellent customer service skills!
     
    Your responsibilities will include the following;
    • Preparation & execution of new leases and tenant compliance
    • Maintain full occupancy of 184 stalls across 104 tenants
    • Constantly seek potential new stallholders
      Implement annual tenant rent reviews & collection
    • Manage rent arrears and where required raise and deliver summonses
    • Monitor tenant monthly electricity charges & water charges
    • Negotiate markets 2 yearly electrical supply contracts      
    • Supervise market opening & closing
    • Assess calls from security monitoring
      Monitor annual insurance premiums
    • Supervise daily/periodic cleaning schedules & maintenance
    • Recruitment & training of new cleaning staff
    • Monitor for potential safety hazards
    • Project Manage construction of new projects (plans, council approval, costing, supervise various trades)
    • Write & Produce radio, television and press advertisements, negotiate value for money media schedules
    • Seasonal Gardening
    • FESA and local authority liaison
    • Arrange annual fire equipment certification
    • Annual filling of pot holes
    • Periodic line marking of car bays
    • Negotiate best price bulk rubbish removal (60 tonnes annually)
    • Regular contact with other markets and shopping centre managements around Perth
    • Update of markets website
    • Periodic exchanges with lawyers
    • Field tenant inquiries and complaints within 7 days  

     
    As you can see, this is a very comprehensive list of duties & responsibilities. Naturally, we are looking a person with similar experience from a shopping centre environment or site management background you must be computer literate. You must have your own reliable transport and preferably live in the northern suburbs. You will also be supported with an Assistant.
