Maintenance and Engineering Manager
THE COMPANY
The Employer is a leading manufacturer of non woven industrial textiles supplying the building, manufacturing, automotive and rural sectors Australia wide. Their Manufacturing ????? ????? located in Villawood New South Wales and has been producing non woven fabrics since 1987. The plant comprises three manufacturing ????? ????? processes such as carding, needle-punching and thermal bonding to manufacture a wide range of fabrics, felts, boards and thermal insulation. These lines are supported by modern warehouse operations, textiles recycling plant and testing and inspection facilities. The Business is a ISO9000 accredited and operates under the strict Occupational Health, Safety and Environment standards. The business is experiencing profitable growth and is currently moving from 24/5 to 24/7 operations.
THE ROLE
Reporting the Operations Manager, the purpose of the Maintenance and Engineering ????? ????? to safely and without damage to the environment achieve target plant availability and functionality within cost and capital budgets. The role has business wide responsibility and makes a direct contribution to business performance as a full time Management Team Member. The person in this role is a 2IC to the Operations Manager and in rotation with the Production Manager acts in this role when the Operations Manager is unavailable for duty. The role is based at the Plant in Villawood, NSW.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Continually improve safety and environmental outcomes
-
Provide effective Leadership to develop the Maintenance Team
-
Plan, implement and deliver a “PM” Maintenance regime that helps achieve manufacturing ????? ?????

Prepare annual cost budgets and then monitor and control activity within cost budgets
-
Prepare capital budgets, prepare capital submissions for approval and manage capital projects approved
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
-
Demonstrate knowledge of key areas of Safety and Environment risk in Maintenance activity

Provide evidence of reducing LTIFR and MTIFR
-
Demonstrate track record of improving plant availability and functionality to budget

Demonstrate 12 months experience using computerised Maintenance Systems such as Big Foot, Sasim or SAP

Hold a trades certificate in Fitting & Machining or Electrical, TAFE Certificate or University Degree in an Engineering ????? ?????
