Hays Healthcare, the UK's largest specialist recruitment consultancy is working in partnership with Royal Brompton & Harefield Foundation NHS Trust, the largest specialist heart and lung centre in the UK and among the largest in Europe to recruit Critical Care Nurses for their Brompton hospital in Chelsea, London.

The adult intensive care unit has 20 beds and cares for patients following cardiac and major thoracic surgery. In addition the hospital also cares for patients who have severe medical cardiac conditions and who may require optimization prior to surgery, intra-aortic balloon pumping or management of ventricular assist devices.

All new nurses are provided with a well established induction and mentorship programme. Nurses are encouraged to develop at their own pace whilst ensuring ????? ????? contribute to service developments.

In this job you will deliver specialist nurse practice to support and facilitate high quality and individualised care to patients and relatives. You will act as clinical role model and leader for all members of staff providing daily unit management, continuity of care and a high standard of excellent nursing care.
Applicants should have evidence of the development of advanced critical care skills and have experience of mentoring/assessing nursing colleagues. Applicants should also have successfully completed a relevant post basic course.
