The Middle East is a rapidly growing market for large deployments of Intelligent Transport Systems and our client is now on the hunt for ITS experts from Australia, NZ and The UK.
As the company's Technical Manager you will be responsible for the following:
-The technical manager will provide strategic and tactical guidance to three regional technical teams and liaison regularly with the management teams of the Investor Consortiums. He is the team leader for the central ATVAM Technical Authority comprised of experienced subject matter experts, architects and business analysts.
-The technical manager will act as the primary contact for all Investor Consortiums for all program-wide technical issues and will develop and implement resolutions for these issues consistent with the goals of ATVAM.
-The technical manager will be responsible for the development, implementation and enforcement of program-wide systems engineering policies and the quality-management procedures for the development of products and life-cycle processes consistent with established practices.
-The technical manager will monitor product and process quality factors and develop, implement and enforce improvement throughout the system life cycle.
Our client is looking for someone with the following:
Knowledge:
Excellent knowledge in Systems Engineering, General IT (Analysis and Design), Verification and Validation and Project Management. Excellent knowledge on the implementation of applicable IEEE/IEE/EIA standards on above-mentioned knowledge areas. Intelligent Traffic Systems (ITS) domain knowledge is a clear advantage.
Skill/Experience:
Relevant experience in a large organization, out of which at least 5 years in a leadership role on projects of significant size, where Technical Leadership and Project Management were combined or alternated. Proven experience in Systems Engineering, General IT (Analysis and Design), Verification and Validation and Project Management. Experience in the implementation of applicable IEEE/IEE/EIA standards on above-mentioned knowledge areas. Intelligent Traffic Systems (ITS) experience is a clear advantage.
-The successful candidate shall have as a minimum a bachelors degree (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline relevant for the Intelligent Transport Systems domain (Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace, Applied Physics)..
