Our client is an engineering and construction firm. They are a leader in many diversified markets such as communications, education, energy, environment, facilities, federal government, healthcare, infrastructure, life sciences, transportation, vehicle inspection, and water/wastewater. As a Marine Project Manager you will be responsible for the following:
- As Delivery PM, manage the delivery of the Diving Bay area on Sir Bani Yas including design, procurement and liaise with the CM on site regarding marine construction issues.
- Liaise with the CM on site regarding temporary demolition and grading works.
- Be the point of contact for interaction with the Western Region Municipality on coordination issues regarding the construction of roads, marine works and infrastructure works outside of the TDIC development areas.
- Reporting to the Project Manager and indirectly to the Sr. Marine Design Manager, manage the marine design team for Desert Islands with a view to the delivery of the marine elements from a procurement and construction perspective.
- Report to the PM as necessary on the progress and delivery of the Diving Bay and other delivery items.
- Prepare delivery reports, including delivery strategies, construction and procurement schedules, constraints and recommended courses of action
- Prepare reports on project delivery progress
- Conduct progress meetings with the site supervision team when necessary
- Participate in the implementation of safety programs as necessary and maintain a proactive role in safety on the site and in the office at all times.
Ideally you will have:
Minimum 10 years experience as a Marine or Civil Engineer with a minimum of 2 years in a Project Management role. Experience in the design management and project management of marine, roads and infrastructure works. Experience with the construction of marine, roads and infrastructure works preferred.
Regional experience in a Consultant role preferred.
Degree in Civil or Marine Engineering, Member of a recognized Association of Engineers.
