Irrigation Engineer

  • Our client is a leading civil engineering ????? ????? expertise in the fields of irrigation, roads, survey, storm-water drainage, water supply and sewerage infrastructure. Due to an increased work load they are seeking and Irrigation Engineer to assist the Manager and work alongside other engineering ????? ????? undertake the design of Whole Farm Plans while also being involved in the design and construction management of other irrigation and bulk water supply projects from concept to completion. This role will be based in Regional VIC.

     

    Working closely with the Irrigation Manager you will have a varied and challenging role, which will include but not be limited to;

    • Investigation, survey, design, drafting, construction management, project management and the mentoring ????? ????? of junior engineers.
    • Using your relationship building skills to source work opportunities from internal and external clients
    • Review and inspect irrigation projects and prepare tenders
    • Execute projects in a timely manner that adhere to monetary and time budgets
    • Undertake construction management projects to meet contract requirements
    • Provide technical advice and management to staff where required
    • Performing a Business Development function as this role will involve identifying new business opportunities and the forward planning of works and resources.

    You will be tertiary qualified in Civil/Agricultural Engineering ????? ????? minimum of 5 years relevant irrigation or agricultural experience. It is essential that you previous experience in irrigation and survey design, drafting and investigation, knowledge of relevant standards and the ability to liaise with professional clients and authorities. You must have strong time management and organizational skills and the ability to work in a team environment. Strong communication skills both verbal and written are essential. Previous experience working in the Goulburn Murray Region is preferable
