The Role
Reporting to a 'hands on' Sales Manager, your mandate is to initially develop relationships with research scientists across the main research institutes in Sydney (including Garvan, St Vincents, Millenium, Victor Chang) with a view toward achieving sales targets for a group of products which revolve around cellular analysis systems (flow cytometry). Essentially its expected that the successful candidate will have credibility across the research community in Sydney.
The Person
You are degree qualified (ideally in cellular biology) with a background in a clinical laboratory where you have been exposed to flow cytometry, cellular imaging or even antibody development and testing in the area of immunology or cancer research. You can also demonstrate a commercial orientation based on previous sales experience - with a proven ability to plan, lead and complete projects in accordance with timeline and outcome objectives. Superior computer skills are mandatory in accordance with the nature of the work - but above all, the candidate who stands out from the rest will clearly demonstrate strong relationship building skills. An excellent package will be negotiated with the right candidate.
