ANSTO is one of Australia’s foremost scientific research and development organisations, focused on delivering ????? ????? of nuclear science to the Australian community.
An opportunity exists to join the ANSTO reactor operations team as an Utilisation Operator. Reporting to the Opal Utilisation Supervisor you will undertake fuel handling, target (isotope) handling, hot cell operations and rig movements in the OPAL Reactor.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Good communication skills,
- Well developed team work and interpersonal skills,
- Good organisational and planning skills,
Following an initial training period on day shift, you will be required to work an agreed 24hr shift roster for which shift loading applies. You will be working in a radiation environment, however all activities in the Reactor occur within a highly regulated environment and appropriate radiation protection training will be provided.
Starting salary shall be determined based on existing experience and demonstrated capabilities. Promotion is based on assessment against established criteria and approval of Management.
To be eligible for appointment, applicants will require a security and medical assessment and must be Australian citizens.
