Sales Representative

Visy is Australasia's leading manufacturer of fibre board boxes made from 100% recycled and kraft papers. With major corrugating facilities in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Wodonga, Adelaide, Perth and Auckland, New Zealand, Visy services some of the largest food, beverage, primary produce and consumer goods manufacturers, with an emphasis on quality, service and innovation.
As part of a business integration and subsequent growth, we are looking for a proven sales professional to join the team in Sydney. The role will be responsible for managing a significant portfolio of customers in addition to seeking opportunities to grow the current customer base. You will need the ability to engage and influence both your customers and internal stakeholders through strong communication and selling ability. Some key accountabilities for this role are;
- Managing and servicing the existing client base
- Identifying New Business opportunities
- Increase margin across the product range
- Establish & manage industry relationships
- Utilise available resources effectively to maximise the customer expectations
You will need to be competent in the following areas:
- Managing people
- Customer service/focus
- Driving outcomes
- Engaging with others
- Proven Commercial Acumen
You may be tertiary qualified in a marketing or related discipline and have previous experience in a similar role preferably within the packaging industry. This position requires an individual who can build confidence & professional sales credibility with existing and potential customers. You will put your sales knowledge and relationship building skills into practice whilst working with customers to convert their needs into tangible & innovative packaging solutions.
To be successful in this role you will need to display excellent communication, negotiating and time management skills. You will be a results orientated person with a desire to succeed. Experience in the fruit and produce field will be considered desirable however not essential. You will need to display a strong customer focus, a passion and energy for our business, a sense of urgency, respect for others and a strong quality mindset.
