A Communications Specialist is required for one of Australia's leading providers of premium investment, super and pension products.  The team covers a wide range of functions including providing internal and external marketing communications, investment communications and pr communications for retail and broker channels.
 
This role sits within a wider marketing team working alongside marketing managers who specialise in particular products and will focus on the development of strategy, planning and implementation of leading-edge marketing communications activity across the whole product range. They will seek creative pertinent ways of promoting product benefits, features and messages to intermediaries (and their clients) using industry knowledge, research, product development and business feedback.
 
The successful candidate will be academically bright, creative, diligent, and a motivated self starter with excellent communication skills, and ideally sound financial services knowledge.    You will be passionate about written communications, turning technical information into easy to read communication and have a customer focus.  The role is 80% communications but you will also involved project managing marketing campaigns.  At least 4 year communications experience is required within a financial services industry or a background in technical writing for consumers, or product writing.  You must be able to start in the next 2 weeks and although this is a contract role they would ideally like someone who can step into this position as a career prospect rather than a care taker role, as it is hands on and the position may turn into the a longer term opportunity.
