3 Month Contract
Our client is a leading pet food manufacturer and has been associated with the canned food industry for nearly 50 years. They are a major supplier not only to the Australian market but exporting to a number of overseas companies.
Reporting to the Team Leader, the role of QC Technician will ensure that goods produced are in keeping to strict standards by monitoring ????? ????? production and performing quality assurance functions on the finished product. The QC Technician will ensure safe and efficient practices whilst maintaining quality standards. At least 5 years QA&C in the food industry with qualifications in food technology is necessary.
The ideal candidate would have a proven track record & knowledge of canning production processes such as thermal integration cooking, cooling, sterilisation, seam testing, batch testing and retorts in a continuous production line.
While the normal hours of work will be in the day shift, sometimes work across different shifts (morning afternoon or evening) may be needed to carry out quality checks.
Location is South Western Sydney.
Parking is available on site, own transport is preferred but some public transport is available at this location.
This role would be a contract role for 3 months to begin with. This is not the role for a general Microbiologist/Pathologist or fresh Uni graduates.
