Our client is a leading manufacturer and marketer & supplier of steel products and other retail building materials and tools to the building industry for both commercial and industrial construction.

This company is seeking an Operations/Warehouse Manager with a flair for sales and quotation with experience within a relevant industry.

Besides managing their warehouse and distribution centre in Sydney, you will be providing exceptional customer service and sales information & service (including quotes, eta’s of product, etc)  and:

The Sales & Operations Manager is solely responsible for all Sales / Scheduling and Project Management activities encompassing the Businesses’ Standard Market Offer (SMO) by:

·         Managing regional Sales Plan performance

·         Optimizing the price / volume mix

·         Managing the available market spread position

·         Developing and managing all activities relating to the Post Sales / Project Management function

·         Maximising profitability by sound maintenance of margin levels

·         Establishing and maintaining relationships with key customers and developing new opportunities in conjunction with the Account Managers

·         Controlling expenses / overheads in line with regional budget objectives

·         Managing the implementation and adherence to the Standard Market Offer (SMO)

·         Managing scheduler accuracy / productivity and lead times

·         Safety leadership

AND

·         At mimimum Degree in Business, Engineering, or Marketing is highly desirable.

·         A minimum of five (5) years professional experience as a Sales & Operations Manager in a relevant industry with a customer base consistent with that of the Contract Bar business, construction or similar trades business.
