Operations Manager - NSW Engineering & Transport

One of Australia's market leading production companies specialising in waste disposal currently require a state operations manager to manage their NSW operations.
Reporting directly to the General Manager of Operations you will be responsible for the management of the following areas:

 Budgets.
 Management of all operational staff around NSW.
 Ensuring ????? ????? and standards are met.
 Ensuring ????? ????? around NSW comply with OH&S standards and regulations.
 Management of all engineering ????? ????? schedules.
 Maximising profits through process improvement and cost reduction.
 Improvement of production practices and production capacity.
 Assess and monitor transport costs.
 Management of supply chain functions including logistics and procurement.
 Make sure that all staff has received the appropriate and full training to undertake their positions to 100% capability.
 Report writing, documentation and presentation or reports to senior management.

The successful candidate will have:

 Formal qualifications in an engineering ????? ?????.
 Technical, hands-on approach to engineering.
 Solid background in Production Management, Engineering ????? ????? Operations Management.
 Exposure to OH&S regulations and proactive approach to safety in the workplace.
 Exposure to logistics, supply chain and procurement.
 Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
 High level of motivation and a willingness to succeed.
 Excellent people management skills and experience managing people at all levels of the hierarchy.
 Right to work in Australia.

The company are looking for a person who is currently working in an operations management role or a candidate in a production management position looking for the next step in their career.
