The Public Company Department of this listed entity plays a crucial and high profile role in the operations and strategy of this business and has oversight for all corporate governance issues. This role work with the Assistant Company Secretary, and other members of the Public Company team to ensure, the following deliverables are consistently met to a high standard:

  • Compliance with the Group's obligations to the ASX, ASIC and corporate regulators in other relevant jurisdictions;
  • Supporting the Board of Directors in carrying out its governance role; and
  • Meeting the governance-related needs of shareholders.
The key responsibilities of the role will include:
 
  • Comply with statutory and other obligations
  • Manage all share registry-related deliverables
  • Draft, provide input to and verify the content of public and non-public documents
  • Ensure compliance with licensing requirements in Australia
  • Undertake other work as required
  • Comply with Corporate and Divisional Service Standards.
  • Comply with safety in the workplace.
The ideal candidate will have:
 
  • Tertiary Commerce, Business or Law degree essential.
  • Previous work experience in the Company Secretariat department of a major listed Australian corporate; and/or post-admission experience advising on company secretarial matters at a well regarded law firm;
  • Competent understanding of Corporations Act, ASX Listing Rules and other relevant regulations desirable.
  • Proven time management skills and ability to work well under pressure of multiple deliverables within strict timeframes.
  • Superior oral and written communication skills and a proven eye for detail
  • Highly motivated and organised, with a professional approach and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Results and solution-focussed, with the ability to anticipate and mitigate risks and proactively identify and resolve issues.
  • Ability to work independently, but with a strong focus on collaboration.
  • Level of maturity necessary to liaise with Senior Management and external parties.
