Take a high profile role in regulating the Australian Financial markets
Acting on referrals from the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) and the Australian public, the Market Integrity Team deals with investigations and litigation concerning the full spectrum of high profile cases, relating to market integrity including insider trading.
Consisting of law enforcement professionals, accountants and lawyers, this team takes both reactive and proactive action to regulate the market. The projects handled by our diverse team are focused upon building confidence in Australia’s capital markets.
If you have the ability to think on your feet and make critical decisions, as well as have experience in litigation within the Australian or similar legal system, then this is your opportunity to:
- Provide legal advice to, and conduct litigation on behalf of ASIC in relation to breaches of the Corporations Act, relevant State and Commonwealth criminal legislation and other financial services legislation.
- Project manage investigations by ensuring ????? ????? timely resourcing and advising and directing staff on activities required to be complete a matter.
- Analyse and compile briefs of evidence, determining whether allegations of misconduct can be supported, as well as analysing how that evidence can be obtained in admissible form, whether in a criminal, civil or administrative context.
- Liaise with key stakeholders (i.e. CDPP, police, witnesses, liquidators and administrators, accountants, external lawyers and counsel, and other government agencies both locally and internationally) to gather evidence and ensure all stakeholders are kept updated on matters.
