In-house Lawyer - Funds Management & Retail Banking
The Banking and Financial Services Group (BFS) is the primary relationship manager for Macquarie's retail client base in Australia, New Zealand, Asia, North America and Europe. We are currently seeking an experienced lawyer to join our central BFS Legal team based in our Group Services division.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with new and flagship funds management and cash products and will be a role that places you as the legal expert and champion for a portfolio of BFS products. You will liaise with senior stakeholders across the business and will have enough scope to really make your mark.
Key responsibilities in this role will be:
- preparing advice on new products and product enhancements;
- providing ongoing advice on regulatory issues;
- reviewing marketing and communication materials;
- co-ordinating due diligence of offer documentation;
- working closely with key business managers.
You will:
- be a qualified lawyer of at least 2.5 years' PQE, with a funds and /or banking background from a leading law firm or leading in-house team;
- work independently yet demonstrate the flexibility to work well within a team;
- possess strong interpersonal and communication skills;
- display a professional and commercial work approach;
- be highly visible and provide transparency of process to clients and the team.
