In this role, you will be given broad commercial responsibility with a focus on commercial property, commercial (contracts) and corporate advisory work. You will join a legal team, based at the Asia Pacific head office, with responsibility for providing advice nationally. Key accountabilities will include but are not limited to:
- drafting, negotiating and reviewing a wide range of commercial contracts including those relating to procurement; distribution; marketing, and IP as well as advising on a range of commercial transactional issues.
- Support and assist with project contracts and property documentation including leasing, development and construction.
- Manage claims, disputes and litigation
- Reviewing and responding ad-hoc legal queries from the business.
The successful candidate will enjoy a high degree of mentoring, responsibility and interaction with key stakeholders on a daily basis. The ideal applicant will have the following profile:
- 4-6 years' relevant post admission experience gained in a well regarded law firm or blue-chip organisation
- A mature and commercial personality with a “can do” attitude to work
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise and forge relationships at all levels of the business
