In-house Legal Counsel - Global Organisation

Rare in-house opportunity for 3+ year level lawyer

Broad variety of corporate & commercial work

Based in Sydney CBD, APAC focus

This organisation has a global presence and are considered a leader in the applied communications sector.

Due to grown in the APAC sector they are seeking an In-house Lawyer. This is a supporting role reporting to the General Counsel, in this position you will facilitate the review of customer and supplier contracts as well as manage all other legal issues.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to;

draft, negotiate and advise on contractual transactions with customers

provide internal legal advice to management on all legal issues relating to commercial transactions

ensure all agreements are consistent with internal and external regulations

research and advise on TPA, Corporations Act and other legal matters

negotiate and deal directly with customers

liaise with external legal counsel

manage customer complaints

ad hoc legal duties as required

Requirements to be considered a suitable applicant;

3+ years post qualification experience

strong drafting skills and contract law knowledge

an understanding of telecommunications services

strong interpersonal skills to deal directly with customers

proactive and solutions-orientated approach
