Exciting in-house litigation opportunity

Are you ready to get out of the law firm environment and join the commercial world? Here at Clarendon, we're offering ????? ????? rare litigation opportunity to join our in-house legal team. You'll enjoy a convenient location away from the city, as well as exposure to one of Australia’s largest contract home builders.

Reporting to the General Counsel, you will manage disputes and litigious matters to ensure effective settlement with minimal disruptions to the business. You will also be responsible for briefing counsel, drafting pleadings and where required, providing corporate/commercial legal advice to internal clients.

In this role you will be required to appear before the CTTT and the local and district courts. As such, it is pivotal that you have strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to exercise initiative and make important decisions. Your excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise a high-volume workload will be equally important.

To be successful, you will have a relevant degree, 2-3 years post qualification experience and a practicing certificate. Experience in litigation and dispute resolution with a solid working knowledge of contract law that has been gained within a mid to top tier law firm is essential. In addition, exposure to construction/building law will be highly regarded.
