My client are a leading Australian Software company who produce cutting edge systems for the media industry. They have developed their own advanced workflow system that converts videos in near real time to be posted to the web.
Their team is growing at a rapid rate and the are now looking for a Project Manager with Java Development experience.
You will be working 'out on the road' with the sales team to be the technical brain power, documenting the business and technical requirements of the new business opportunities.
Once the projects have been converted you will be responsible for project management and successful project completion.
The role will be suited to an experienced Java Developer who is looking to get into Project Management as you will sit between the business and the technical team!
Your responsibilities will include...
- Documenting business and technical requirements for sales opportunities
- Following the sales pipeline and identifying risks and technical issues
- Producing product briefs and writing specifications
- Managing software projects from end to end
- Managing external suppliers, clients and stakeholders
- Putting together presentations, demonstrations and sales tools
Given the nature of this role you will require the following skills...
- A sound understanding of the SDLC
- Java and SQL development experience
- Web development knowledge inc HTML CSS and JavaScript
- High quality documentation and communication skills
- Gathering ????? ?????, requirements and translating them into the technical domain
Ideally you will have come from a Media background with experience in media technologies as this is will give you a head start.
