Trainer/Support/Test Analyst

  • Trainer/Support/Test Analyst - Opportunities for a couple of well-organised, motivated and "switched-on" professionals to join a key business team with a blue chip organisation in Western Sydney. You will provide IT applications Testing, User Training and Support in their processes and systems.

    You have to be a quick learner to develop your knowledge base in corporate buying, as you will be providing support in installation, testing and rolling out new systems, documentation, user training, deployment and support of buying software applications.

    On an on-going basis, you would be required to ensure the continual improvement to the processes and operations involved in a professional and efficient manner.

    To meet these requirements you will need a proven ability to quickly grasp unfamiliar processes and procedures and analyse how a system works to support business and it's users. As a Support professional, you will need to be equally adept at understanding people and engaging them through an approachable manner. You'll have to work to deadlines with several tasks on the go at once, so you'll need to be highly organised and adept at multi-tasking and prioritising.

    You'll receive excellent training and a thorough handover, but you must be capable and prepared to take on responsibility and work autonomously in the longer term.

    The successful candidates must possess the following attributes and experience :

    • You must have worked in an IT environment for a minimum of 2 years in the testing/rollout/training environments
    • Experience with training in both business processes and systems including rolling out new systems, training and conducting user training (both one-to-one and group sessions)
    • Experience in testing new application systems, changes to systems and live test environments.
    • Manual writing, editing and process management skills
    • Competency in the use of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Powerpoint, Word, Excel and Visio) products.
    • Demonstrate strong documentation skills both technical and non-technical.
    • Ability to diarise and multi task programs on the go
    • Demonstrate talent for analysing complex processes, systems and problems with a view to improvement
    • Demonstrate experience with multi-tasking business, IT demands and prioritisation
    • Be approachable and have a "can-do" attitude
    • Demonstrate strong organisational abilities
    • Strong end-user and business focus skills
    • Great presentation and a professional attitude
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
    • High attention to details
    • Negotiation and influencing skills
    • A Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment or tertiary qualification will be a bonus.
    This role will suit someone who is a self-starter, quick learner and reliable; seeking a long term career with an ethical and professional organisation. Please note that this role is located in Western Sydney - about half way between Parramatta and Penrith - so a vehicle is a necessity. Free parking is provided onsite. The package on offer will be circa $68K in the first year, with a 10% increase in the second year.
