C++ Software Engineer - DSP Projects - QT Toolkit/Linux/Windows - Mid-Level role

Our client is a respected R&D organisation, with an enviable client list and projects ready to go.

The client is looking to take on a junior/mid-level "general all-rounder" C/C++ developer to be able to work on both upcoming projects and ongoing ones. The software development will be done in mainly C++ project and this role will give you the opportunity to develop your skills with the QT Toolkit.

With a reputation as one of Australia's finest R&D centre, this a multi-disciplined software engineering role which will allow you to develop your skills in a number of areas including embedded programming, distributed systems and GUI development. One of the projects will involve the development of GUIS to display data captured via TCP/IP to specialised DSP processors. Simply put you would be developing a gui application that will graphically display on the control panel what is going on at a lower level. Other responsibilities include adding software enhancements to sonar equipment and software debugging.

Working in a small team environment, you will be involved throughout the whole SDLC and be given substantial autonomy and room to grow. This company will provide a full and rounded interesting array of work. More importantly, this company has the reputation for providing training to develop your problem solving and design skills.

 
You must be able to demonstrate;

• Strong C++ capability, STL, object orientated, multi-threading programming
• Good understanding of networking protocols (eg. TCP/IP, UDP)
• Good understanding of DSP is preferable
• Experience working in a multi-disciplinary, small team environment
• Strong product or commercial focus
• Mixture of Windows and Linux
• Strong communication capability and team focus
