    Our client is a respected defence consulting organisation and has been recently awarded a multi-million dollar project by the Department of Defence. If successful, the incumbent software engineer will be working on situational awareness and tactical systems simulation projects. Other projects include battle management systems used by the RAN. Due to the classified nature of the project, the client is seeking C/C++ Software Engineers with a current Australian Defence Secret Clearance (minimum Secret clearance level).

     

    The successful software engineer will need to be able to work with formal software development methodoligies and be able to adapt well to a process driven environment. Furthermore, the majority of the software is developed under a mixture of Linux and Unix platforms, hence a sound understanding of Unix/Linux OS principles is expected.

     

    Prior experience with design tools including Telelogic Doors, Rational Rose or UML will be highly advantageous.

     

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor of Engineering ????? ????? Science (other related degrees will be suitable)
    • 8+ years experience in software engineering
    • Strong C/C++ programming skills
    • Current Australian defence clearance
    • Real-time and multi-threaded programming
    • Prior experience with Electronic Warfare or Tactical Simulation systems is highly advantageous
