Key responsibilities:

Your primary role is to develop web applications using Java/JSP and Object Oriented programming techniques. This includes designing, developing and maintaining applications to optimise code to increase throughput, availability, scalability, redundancy, superior performance and quick recoverability.

Key requirements:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications
• Mastery of various software development lifecycle methodologies, configuration management (CVS) and object-oriented software development methodologies
• Detailed knowledge of web application architecture and infrastructure
• Detailed and demonstrated Agile or XP programming techniques
• Experience building/managing/deploying large scale and/or complex enterprise web applications
• Solid development experience with OO Java/JSP in a dynamic, fast-paced application development environment
• Mastery or in-depth experience with the Java framework
• Detailed design experience with Oracle
• Be able to write architectural documentation, Proof of Concept documentation (as required), and Class and method-level JavaDoc
• Experience with Linux (primarily Red Hat and CentOS) and Solaris
• At least one secondary language (Perl, PHP, Ruby, etc.)
• Extensive experience working with 3rd party applications and APIs
• Extensive experience building within existing application framework
