Are you a hard working windows systems engineer? Are you looking to become a CMDB specialist ? My client is currently looking for Windows Administrator to be fully trained on CMDB so they become a specialist in that niche area. Think of the career progression ....

Once you are trained in CMDB you will work on various new project initiatives.This role will form part of the team which is responsible for administering ????? ????? USD, CMDB and the USD integration software (CA ITPAM). This role will primarily deal with the server infrastructure but will be assisting with installing the USD, CMDB, ITPAM and related products. This role will have a strong involvement in the design and support of the web infrastructure (ISA, tomcat, RSA, firewalls), server infrastructure (AD, Windows Server 2003, 2008 and Hyper-V) and assist customers and third parties in commenting to our infrastructure (Internet and internal DNS, firewall rules, topology, web server virtual hosts, and security).

While this is an infrastructure focussed role, there is a strong requirement to understand and assist in implementation and support of the applications on the infrastructure.

Experience

• 4 years experience administering ????? ?????
• Experience in working with web infrastructure
• Experience in working with the service desk toolsets (would be beneficial but not essential)
• Knowledge of Perl, PHP, and scripting languages would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of server topology/routing relating to standard protocols such as FTP, email, SQL, HTTP(s) and web services

Non-Technical competencies

• Management of IT -> ITIL

Technical competencies

• Operating systems -> Microsoft -> Microsoft Windows 2003 Server, Ent/Std
• Database -> MS SQL 6.5/7
