As an international leader in focussed information solutions, they have demonstrated impressive growth figures that have set them on a path to dominate their field. They have key relationships in various direct and channel markets, keeping the opposition envious!! Continual global growth and an electrifying surge in technology investment has brought to bare a number of key opportunities for the Asia Pacific Operation. High on the agenda is the acquisition of an outstanding Project Manager for their innovative Sydney based Professional Services team.
As a key member of a high impact global team, this unique, pivotal position requires a seasoned professional who has excellent Project Management experience within Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence. The following are key role objectives:
- Lead the scoping, planning, cost estimating and pricing of consulting projects.
- Responsible for statement of work development and risk assessment, including but not limited to defining goals and objectives, identifying and documenting client requirements, resource requirements, project budget, project risks, and the translation of the client’s business requirements into specific deliverables.
- Lead Data Warehouse, BI or associated solution implementation projects of moderate complexity, or a collection of multiple smaller projects.
- Ensure projects are completed on-time, within budget, and within client expectations for quality and functionality.
- Identify sales opportunities; participate in pre-sales planning, project pricing, bid review, and presentation of sales proposals. Acquires incremental business within the project through change control.
- Build a project team, including internal employees, offshore resources, and contractors.
The package consists of:
- Base Salary of 120-130k plus Super
- Plus Excellent Bonuses
To be considered for this role, you will have a minimum 4-5 years + experience working for a complex solutions provider as a Project Manager, delivering to multiple high profile commercial customers on disparate and concurrent projects. Previous work history should include a strong technical background within Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence. Experience with any of the following technologies will be viewed favourably: Business Objects, Cognos, SAS, Oracle, Hyperion, Greenplum or Teradata. Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica or Datastage would be viewed favourably. Formalised Project Management certification is required. A degree majoring in Computer Science or IT Engineering would be favourable. The successful applicant will have a strong ability to communicate with business decision makers and users. You have strong problem solving abilities and attention to detail, proven planning and strong time management skills.
