Test Analyst

 



An exciting opportunity lies ahead for you to join a team of great calibre and play a vital role as a Test Analyst to ensure upmost quality for some of Australia’s leading classifieds sites, including domain.com.au, mycareer.com.au and mycareer.com.au.

Fairfax Digital’s aim is to help its visitors stay informed and make better decisions. More than eight million people use Fairfax Digital’s sites each month.

The role will involve:

* Reviewing functional requirements, creating test strategies and plans, documentation of test and use cases followed by execution and defect tracking.
* Planning and executing user focus testing, system testing and regression testing for a range of sites as well as working closely with the developers and project managers.
* Investigating and responding to issues reported by the Customer Service helpdesk.

To be considered for this exciting position you must have:

* A minimum of 3 year’s commercial experience as a Test Analyst for online consumer websites (no desktop applications or intranet).
* A strong understanding of software testing methodologies (unit, system and regression testing).
* Experience testing websites.
* Experience writing execution scripts for testing tools as well as Automated UI testing.
* Good knowledge of WatiN Tests.
* Good knowledge of JIRA as our defect tracking tool
* An understanding of relational database systems and SQL.
* Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and.Net environment.
* Proficiency with MS Office products (Word, Excel, Visio and Outlook).
* Exposure to test management software and business analysis practices would also be beneficial.

This position is based in Sydney and will expose you to a dynamic business environment that demands innovation and agile solutions.

The successful candidate will be a quick learner, with a high attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong troubleshooting skills. They will also have a strong work ethic and good customer focus.
