This is your chance to work with one of Australia's leading financial services regulators! They contribute to the economic reputation and well being of us all and they employ almost 2000 people nationally with offices based in all major Australian cities.

As a Data Architect, your responsibilities will include:-

• assist in creation of base business object definitions and documentation to support the information architecture;
• provide consultative input into the information architecture;
• model and develop Extended Mark-up Language (XML) schemas for base business object definitions: and
• Work with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) teams to develop Canonical Data Models for Web Services and messaging definitions using XML schemas for defined business objects.

To be considered for this role, you must possess a mix of the following key skills:-

• 5 years plus as a Data Architect - exposure to large data management projects, such as Data Warehouse, SOA, Master Data Management and Customer Master Data Management;
• highly experienced data modeller, experienced with conceptual, logical and physical data models;
• experience in designing Canonical Data Models for Web Services and message-based information exchange;
• experienced in the use of Data Modelling tools such as System Architect and CA Erwin Data Modeller; and
• Experience with Oracle database, some exposure to DB2 and SQL Server.

It would also add value to your application if you have a mix of the following key skills:-

• exposure to Data Warehouse concepts and multi-relational data modelling;
• exposure to Oracle SQL Modeller and Oracle BPA;
• exposure to XML Spy;
• prior experience in IT environments using SOA tools and concepts;
• prior experience with Oracle Enterprise Services Bus (ESB) or other ESB products;
• good presentation skills, written and verbal communication skills;
• excellent analytical, problem solving and consulting skills;
