Senior Business Analyst - Urgent Start

 

Must have Financial Services (ideally retail banking) experience.  
Long term contract!

This is a Senior BA role (8 – 10 years experience +)  
  
Great opportunity to join a key centralised business architecture team tasked with bringing together the functional side of a large scale Technology Transformation Project.  
  
If successful in this role you will work to define, clarify or aggregate business requirements from each of the strategic programs of work within this organisations transformation portfolio. The BA will map the requirements to the functional business capability model and assist in more detailed analysis where requirements from multiple programs potentially overlap. The BA will use information collected from program documentation, workshops, focus interviews and analysis to develop scope definitions for capabilities common to multiple programs. The BA will confirm the scope definitions and understanding of the requirements with the relevant program teams. Once confirmed, the BA will work with the program team members to define the business requirements and define the business architecture. In some cases, the BA will also work with the program architects to ensure that the Information Systems architecture is defined and documented according to set standards. 
  
 RESPONSIBILITIES 
 - Conduct workshops and focus interviews to gather program requirements 
 - Contribute to workshop design and preparation 
 - Map program requirements to the business capability model 
 - Collection additional details for overlaps through review of project documentation and follow-up stakeholder sessions 
 - Define scope statements for requirements that are common across multiple programs 
 - Socialise scope statements with the impacted programs of work to confirm 
 - Resolve inconsistent requirements through simultaneous engagement of impacted programs 
 - Document business requirements and technical requirements in the standard templates 
 - Work with the design team to define the business architecture based on the business capability model and the documented business requirements 
 - Work with program architects to define the Information Systems architecture 
 - Ensure that Information Systems architecture aligns with the business architecture
