A major financial organisation and key player in the Australian market requires a Senior Developer to join their Sydney based operations. The Senior Developer will join this company's Quantitative Development team and be involved in providing their Quantitative Financial Analysts with the most relevant market information by developing custom analytic tools. The ideal candidate should have solid hands-on development experience across a range of technologies and be able to identify the right tool for each specific project. In this varied and challenging role the Senior Developer will be expected to provide ongoing IT support to the Quantitative Research team through the manipulation of data and development and maintenance of custom analytic tools.


Key Requirements:

• Tertiary qualifications in software engineering ????? ?????
• Strong Object oriented application development experience
• Extensive experience across C#.Net
• Experience with SQL Server, MS Excel and VBA
• Mature outlook and ability to work with little supervision
• Flexibility to deal with conflicting / changing priorities and multi-tasking
• Previous financial industry experience would be beneficial
• A solid commercial background across a broad range of technologies
• Ability to deal with clients and internal stakeholders in consultative approach
