An exciting opportunity has become available for an Actuary to provide an oversight of the guaranteed products offered by INGA, including MoneyForLife, Capital Guaranteed, Capital Stable and any other products that may be introduced going forward.

This role will see you providing input on the investment strategies used to back policy liabilities and shareholder capital as well as reviewing and assessing the adequacy of hedging programs.

Specifically, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Review and assess the accuracy of the policy liability, capital and value calculations provided by the actuarial team managing the MoneyForLife product.
  • Review and assess the effectiveness of the hedging program for the MoneyForLife product and also the derivative strategies for other books of business.
  • Suggest strategies for improving the management of market related risks across all INGA portfolios.
  • Be a central point of contact for CEO, CFO and senior management queries on all the above issues.
  • Forecast potential future P&L impacts for the Capital Guaranteed and Capital Stable portfolios.

To secure this exciting opportunity, you will need the following:

  • Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia or equivalent
  • Knowledge of actuarial aspects of life insurance business
  • Tertiary qualifications in related discipline
  • Strong actuarial judgement
  • Extensive experience in devising and assessing a range of investment strategies.
